Beveled Edge Wood Flooring

Bevelled edge wood flooring is made from planks that have edges that are finished with a very gentle v all the way around.
Beveled edge wood flooring. Put those planks together on your floor and this type of plank design creates tiny grooves between the flooring planks often measuring a fraction of an inch in width and depth. Beveled edges make each plank look like real hardwood. A beveled edge has a more distinctive deep v groove that emphasizes the uniqueness of each individual plank. Beveled edges are often referred to as v grooves as each plank is milled to give the plank its own distinct look.
Edge type can be defined as the finished sides and end joints of each plank. Regardless of the hardwood collection that you select we offer two different types beveled edge and micro beveled edge. In older homes micro beveled edges allow floor installers to quickly install planks without releveling the base floor first. Laminate flooring with beveled edges comes in many different flooring designs colors and patterns.
One of the benefits of micro beveled hardwood floors is that the grooves in the edges of the board allow for more forgiveness if your existing floor is not perfectly level. Hardwood flooring planks are milled piece by piece and that process naturally results in a slightly eased edge or corner. This combination results in a stunning time worn and authentic appearance. Beveled edge bevel edge floors feature a larger more pronounced edge detail with the individual flooring panels clearly delineated.
This edge style typically lends itself to a more traditional or rustic type of décor although it also works in a modern setting. A full bevel edge is often combined with a sculpted or hand scraped effect.
